Million Orchid Project

With the help of students and volunteers from the local community,┬áFairchild Tropical Botanic Garden┬áis working to restore some of South Florida’s most rare and endangered orchid species into our urban landscape.┬á In partnership with researchers at┬áFlorida International University, the┬áNorth American Orchid Conservation Center, local municipalities and over 100 local schools, Fairchild is propagating large quantities of native orchid plants from seed.
