Users with GIS Lab User Accounts can access GIS workstations via eLabs — a multi-platform system for virtual applications and remote workstations.

- Cloud-based mapping and analysis from Esri. An FIU Organizational ArcGIS Online account unlocks premium tools and data. Free for FIU students, staff, and faculty.
- ArcGIS Pro
- Esri’s current desktop GIS. Download free via the FIU Organizational ArcGIS Online account.
- ArcGIS Desktop
- Legacy Esri desktop GIS — discontinued and being phased out by Esri.
- CED GIS Center Account
- Elevated access to CED GIS Center software and computing (study-area and classroom workstations, network storage). Created automatically for students in GIS classes; available for research by request. Affiliated and teaching faculty are assigned accounts.
- Remote Access
- Students currently enrolled in GIS classes can use a limited pool of GIS-equipped workstations for class and homework.
